Why not go to our EASIER page and select all the cabling accessories in one go. Then go to our DISH page to get your dish, LNB and hardware. Cable entry cover brick burst cover or satellite cable cover Sky extension leads See page 7 for plugs, tools and accessories. | | If cable colour indoors matters, check what we have to offer. However, we do recommend weather protection outdoors by painting the cable or running it inside pipe or conduit, so colour choice outdoors may not matter as much. And you can, of course, join different coloured cables and thickness together with only very minimal signal loss, by using cable couplers (available individually or in our "cable joint kits"). Alternatively, you can use an 'F' connector plate indoors to join your outdoor cable and indoor cable. | | The "F" plugs that we stock have been carefully selected to match the cable that we supply (silicone grease should be applied). We also supply coloured cable suitable for Sky, Freeview, Virgin. We offer cables cut to standard lengths and on reels. Please scroll down the page. Various cable clips available, below! | We can supply WF100 cable with or without "F" twist-on connectors in 6 colours. | | Audiophile Notes A popular way to minimise inductance in loudpeaker wires is to use two lengths of WF100 coaxial cable (or the twin version, below) and connect the outer copper braid of one cable to the inner copper wire of the other for both cables at both ends. Solder short, flexible, multistrand wires to the ends and finish with hot-melt adhesive or potting compound for strength and protection. | | | To avoid short-circuits place an insulating sleeve over at least one of the "braided pigtails". | | | Silicone grease should be used when fitting plugs to cable. More info. or purchase click HERE. | Join your dish or Freeview cable | | Click HERE to see cable extension/repair joint kits. |
Extend your satellite or aerial cable HAVE YOU READ OUR TECHNICAL NOTES? - CLICK HERE Satellite extension leads - sky+ extension leads - Freeview extension leads, single or twin. Extend indoor LNB or aerial cable with our Double-shielded coaxial lead cut lengths (fitted with male "F" connector at each end if you wish). Use the threaded "F" barrel to join cables (tick box if required). Note: if you order a rubber boot with a pre-made cable the boot will be supplied separately. If you need to pass the lead through a hole (or fit a rubber boot) you can simply unscrew one "F" plug then screw it back on afterwards. If you need highest quality cable with choice of colours, (white, black, brown, green, yellow, red single), please scroll down to "WF100". | Ultra-thin cable WF65-1 White coaxial cable just 4.5mm diameter (thin) Pipe your RF and remote control signals around the house with our ultra-thin coaxial cable. Ideal for connecting Satellite dish (up to 20 m), Freeview, UHF and "magic eyes" up to 40 metres. Thin and unobtrusive. Only slightly thicker than telephone cable! (Max single length 30 metres. If you order more than one lead, please state in the "shopping cart" what cut lengths you require.) 30p/metre Pre-made decoupled cable using WF65-1 available WF65-1 (single) and WF65 Twin (shotgun) Go to WF65 Order page - Click HERE | | Cheap RG6 double-screened cable with aluminium foil shield is more than adequate for short runs indoors. It combines flexibility with low cost and comes in black, brown or white - with or without plugs fitted. Also available on reels. We don't recommend RG6/SATDS for outdoor use in the UK because it has an aluminium foil screen under copper braid and this combination corrodes rapidly in the presence of moisture. Not available in "twin" or "shotgun". For outdoor cable or more colours, see WF100 cable, below. Go to RG6 Order page - Click HERE | | WF100 cable (foam dielectric copper-copper) | More info | WF100 single made by WEBRO* (foam dielectric for better outdoor endurance with copper braid on copper foil). EN50117 specification cable. Download data sheet. Made by WEBRO*. Available in SIX colours! (Also available in "twin" or "shotgun" style.) Go to WF100 Order page - Click HERE | | Highest quality RF fly-leads/TV extension leads WF100 lead with straight (male) TV plug both ends Extend your dish or Virgin cable (indoor or outdoors) | | | cut lengths for outdoor or indoor use and reels Go to WF100 Order page - Click HERE | | WF100 (twin) cable in Black, White, Brown | More info | cut lengths - twin cable for outdoor or indoor use and reels Go to WF100 Order page - Click HERE | WF125 cable (single) by WEBRO | | | (CT125 equivalent) black, foam-filled, low-loss. (Foam dielectric for better outdoor endurance with copper braid on copper foil). This cable is essential to minimise signal loss on runs of 40 metres or more. IMPORTANT: This cable is stiff and should not be connected directly to your satellite receiver because it could put excessive strain on the input connector. We recommend using a short length of WF100 or one of our "dish extension cables" (see above). Please note that our rubber boots will not fit on WF125 cable or its WF125PLUG 'F' connectors. Silicone grease must be used with the large WF125PLUG 'F' connectors. Very low loss. See cable specifications. Because of the weight and difficulty in handling, WF125 is not offered in cut lengths. Tidy the hole in your wall by tapping this plastic plug into it. 7 mm hole through centre. Requires 10 mm hole in wall. Choose translucent white plastic or black. | | We don't stock twin grommets, simply because most of our DIY customers don't have access to an industrial drill that will put a 15mm bit through brick. As the cable usually has to be split immediately after it passes through a twin grommet, it might as well be split before it goes through the wall. The drip loops look tidier. An alternative would be to connect the cables to a twin 'F' connector plate. If there was a significant demand, we would consider stocking twin grommets. But we have to buy them in lots of 100, so I don't want a large bag taking up shelf space unnecessarily. Cable entry cover | | Hides untidy holes drilled in the wall. Brown (picture) or White plastic. Can be glued in place with silicone adhesive. Size: typically 11 cm x 11 cm x 3 cm (may vary because we buy from various manufacturers). Easily accommodates 4 x 7 mm cables. | | Silicone adhesive alone | | | | Weatherproof your LNB connections! | | SatCure's unique flexible Rubber Boot is suitable for single-, twin-, and for older quad-output LNB "F" connectors where a sliding cover is not fitted - essential to keep out moisture. Automatic discount for 10 or more (65p), 100 or more (55p), 1000 or more (50p). Slide it up the cable to weatherproof the "F" connector. MORE INFO UV resistant and guaranteed for 10 years if used with silicone grease as described. Note: rubber boots can not be fitted to cables with compression 'F' plugs - only to cables with plugs that unscrew. | | Silicone Grease | | | | Self Amalgamating tape just 2p per inch! | | Remove plastic backing, stretch it to twice its length and it welds to itself as you bind it. Essential for waterproofing "F" connector joints outside. Good for car radiator hose repairs, too! 10 inch length 20p or full reel £4.95. Typical LNB connection needs 5 inches. (Rubber boots for F connectors available - see connector page) | | Cable Threader Straws | | | (luminous straws to pass through wall cavity) Drill a 10 mm hole and push the "straw" through the wall. It's rigid enough to force its way through insulation material. Then pass the cable through and pull the "straw" out. | | Alkathene Conduit | | | Cable protection conduit pipe 25 mm outer diameter x approx. 25 metre long. Internal diameter 20 mm. Suitable for burying in soil or concrete. (Because of friction you probably can't push WF100 cable more than 20m up this pipe so it has to be cut then rejoined with coupler below). It has been suggested that you can super glue the end of some strong thread to a heavy ball bearing or glass "marble" and roll that through the pipe. Use it to pull through some strong cord or fishing line. Then use that to pull the cable through. (Please let us know if you have a better method!) Mark says: I do have a better method. If you attach a ball of tissue - enough to fill the pipe but not tight - to some light string and put it in the pipe one end, you can suck it through using a vacuum cleaner from the other end. I haven't tried longer than 50 metres, but it easily gets through that. | | PE2822 coupler for joining sections of Alkathene pipe. Provides a watertight joint. | | You can fit 4 x 7 mm diameter cables through the conduit. Use plenty of talcum powder or French chalk to lubricate it. | | Send this page address - CLICK HERE - to a friend ! | Improve signal strength; increase signal strength with satellite cable, doubler, coax cable and straight connector.
